Printable cut list

  • piece 1: 20.00 in × 12.00 in
  • piece 2: 20.00 in × 12.00 in
  • piece 3: 20.00 in × 12.00 in
  • piece 4: 20.00 in × 12.00 in

Formula

Pieces are placed on deterministic rows, then repeat, shrinkage, waste, and shop increment rules are applied in that order.

Assumptions

  • Every piece is rectangular.
  • Rotation is used only when selected and the fabric is not directional.

When a tested commercial pattern gives different cutting dimensions or layout instructions, follow that pattern.

Worked example

  • 45 in fabric
  • Four 20 × 12 in pieces

The planner arranges the four pieces into labeled rows and rounds the purchase quantity to one-eighth yard.
